Retired Lt. Garet Davidson is accused of leaking the writings of the Covenant School shooter

Retired Lt. Garet Davidson was charged last week with leaking the writings of the transgender-identifying woman who murdered six people at the Covenant School in March 2023 .

Davidson 's legal team believes the charges were brought in retaliation for his efforts to expose problems at the Nashville police department.

Davidson has been outspoken about the investigation into the Covenant shooting.
