LZ Granderson: FDA says it won’t take action on mifepristone, but new data shows it’s not safe

Frida Ghitis: FDA chief says he has 'no plans to take action' on chemical abortion drug mifepristone.

She says new data shows 11 percent of women who use the drug to induce an abortion suffer an “adverse health event” She says the rate of serious health events revealed by the study is 22 times greater than the numbers reported on the FDA -approved drug label.

Ghitis says it's time for the Trump administration to put back in place safety regulations on the drug without delay.
