Noam Nedivi’s college apologizes for failing to protect him from Zavier Chimienti’s antisemitic abuse

Zavier Chimienti pleaded guilty to ethnic intimidation and misdemeanor domestic violence in October .

College soccer player Noam Nedivi came forward with his story of antisemitic abuse nearly a year ago .

The ordeal included anti-Jewish slurs, Nazi salutes, and full-on physical abuse.

The Illinois school has now formally apologized for not only its failure to protect the student.

Noam Nedivi says he was harassed by his roommate, Zavier Chimienti , nearly every day .

The roommate's report says he witnessed him physically and emotionally harassing him.

He says his roommate called him a "dirty Jew " and called him "a dirty Jew " in a police report filed in March .

At the end of the semester , on the morning Nedivi was set to fly back to Israel , he said Chimienti made more Nazi salutes and would put his finger to his lips to “symbolize Hitler ’s mustache” In January 2024 , the Daily Wire reported the harassment to his coach, Will Dyer , the Dean of Students Jolann Baldwin , and campus police.
