Sen. Angus King questions why climate change was not included in the U.S. Intelligence Community’s annual threat assessment report

Sen. Angus King of Maine expressed bewilderment over the omission of “climate change” from the Intelligence Community’s (IC) annual threat assessment report.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said she ordered the report be focused solely on the “most extreme and critical direct threats” to the homeland.

King argued global climate change will affect “mass migration, famine, dislocation [and] political violence”.
