Why would you put Jeffrey Goldberg on a secret chat list? Victor Davis Hanson says

Jeffrey Goldberg , the editor of The Atlantic Monthly , was put on a group chat that was supposed to be encrypted.

He listened to the conversations, apparently, for about 10 days .

Goldberg never notified anybody that they had mistakenly put his name on the inclusion list to this confidential information.

He was waiting for a big scoop when they decided to bomb the Houthis in retaliation for shutting down maritime transportation on the Red Sea .

He says if you go in expecting a public debate, you don’t talk to them off the record.

This reminds me so much of 2010 , when Stanley McChrystal allowed an officer to make fun of the vice president.
