CNN 's Jake Tapper is co-writing a book about what led to the Democratic Party’s 2024 election defeat, with a focus on Biden 's serious decline.

In response, several conservatives have resurfaced old remarks in which Tapper defended Biden in the 2020 election cycle.

In the book, he calls Biden 's decision to seek reelection “narcissistic, self-delusional, and reckless’.
