Georgia Rep. Buddy Carter is calling on Georgia 's two Democratic senators to support legislation keeping biological males out of girls’ and women’s sports.

The legislation would prohibit biological male athletes from participating in scholastic athletic events designated specifically for female athletes.

The bill passed the House largely along party lines with 206 Democratic lawmakers voting “no” on the legislation in January .
