Maine state Rep. Laurel Libby was censured for posting images of a transgender-identifying high school boy taking first place in girls’ pole vaulting

Republican state Rep. Laurel Libby was censured for a Facebook post showing a transgender high school athlete taking first place in girls’ pole vaulting at Maine ’s Class B state championship.

Democrats argued that Libby should be censured because the post included an image of a minor.

President Trump has since said publicly that he’ll be withholding federal funds from Maine and the US Departments of Education and Agriculture have launched Title IX investigations into the state.
