Frida Ghitis : For years , Bishop Budde has leveraged her position not to shepherd her flock, but to wage ideological battles.

She said she was “trying to speak a truth that needed to be said” on The View, but for conservatives, her words ring hollow.

Ghitis says the Episcopal Church has systematically sidelined dissenting voices.

Charlton Allen : While Budde lectures Trump about moral leadership, she offers no solutions for the very real crises that his policies seek to address.

Allen: The Episcopal Church’s decline is a warning of the consequences when an institution trades its core principles for fleeting cultural approval.

In seeking to align itself with the values of the elite, the church has abandoned the spiritual vitality that once defined it.
