Star Trek: Section 31 is the black-ops security and intelligence arm of the United Federation of Planets .
The film, directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi , is officially the 14th on the roster.
It seems that the Guardian and/or the writers who live in his vortex have severed her from her rich and lengthy character arc and dumped her in possibly the worst entry of the Star Trek franchise to date.
The film has little connection to the larger Trek universe at all, but it's a fine addition to the “You son of a bitch, I’m in” canon.
The movie is ostensibly a comedy, but the sense of humor lies far outside the galactic barrier of Star Trek .
