Trump says he won’t meet California Gov. Gavin Newsom when he visits Los Angeles on Friday

President-elect Donald Trump has repeatedly warned California Governor Gavin Newsom about needing to do a better job of managing the state’s resources to prevent massive wildfires from erupting.

In November 2019 , Trump called on Newsom to resign after two massive fires in California , the Walker Fire in Plumas County , and the Kincade Fire , which started in Sonoma County on October 23, 2019 , consumed almost 78,000 .
