Texas sues New York doctor who prescribed abortion pill that killed unborn baby and sent pregnant woman to hospital

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing a New York doctor who sent a pregnant woman an abortion pill that killed her unborn child and sent her to the hospital with life-threatening complications.

Abortion in Texas is illegal except when the mother is at risk of losing her life or suffering “substantial impairment of a major bodily function,” the lawsuit states.

Abortion activists have done their best to circumvent dozens of pro-life laws aimed at protecting women and children from harm.

The mifepristone and misoprostol combination is responsible for more than half of the nation’s abortions despite side effects such as hemorrhage and death.
