Trump and Elon Musk bring American swagger, joyous awe back to space travel

President-elect Trump traveled to South Texas with Space X founder Elon Musk to observe another test launch of a rocket.

Richard Lowry : A rocket launch is literally spectacular, and the joyous awe of spectators is itself wonderful to behold.

He says a rocket is otherworldly in more than one sense; it promises to take us to worlds beyond our own, whether outer space, or the moon.

Lowry: There is an inherent risk to the enterprise, making it even more compelling.
