Can Elon Musk really sue people for not wanting to be seen with him?

Elon Musk sues ad industry trade groups for boycotting advertising from X.

The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and Global Alliance for Responsible Media , a GARM project, accused of engaging in an illegal group boycott against X.

WFA announced on Thursday morning that it would be “discontinuing” its GARM initiative.

The House Judiciary report rejects the idea advertisers left Twitter because of “alleged hate speech or concerns about brand safety” Twitter can't claim it didn’t know that the WFA and GARM were concerned about its direction under Musk .

The report concludes GARM ’s work “to demonetize disfavored content” is “likely illegal under the antitrust laws and threatens fundamental American freedoms”.
