People injured by the COVID-19 vaccines are suing the federal government.
They say the federal program they're forced to pursue compensation through is an unconstitutional "kangaroo court" The Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program ( CICP ) is currently the only avenue through which those with a vaccine injury can seek compensation.
Of the 1,600 claims that the CICP has decided, roughly 98 percent were rejected.
The CICP program was first authorized in 2005 by a piece of war-on-terror legislation.
Prior to the pandemic, it had received only 500 claims and paid out compensation to only 30 people.
The high standard of proof, short filing deadlines and lack of procedural rights all cause it to fall woefully short of being a "reasonable alternative remedy".
