Pierre Poilievre is the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition since 2022 .

He is currently running to serve as prime minister.

A recent exchange between him and a left-leaning reporter has since gone viral.

The reporter asked why should Canadians trust him with their vote? "Common sense. Common sense. For a change, we’re going to make common sense common in this country".
