Trump threatens to slap 35% tariff on Canada if it doesn't curb flow of fentanyl

President Donald Trump is threatening a steeper tariff on products from Canada starting August 1 .

The U.S. would increase the rate from 25% to 35% unless Canada takes steps to curb the flow of fentanyl over its shared border with the United States .

Still, Canada could avoid some or all of the added tariff, he suggested.
