A Mattress Testing Expert Breaks Down Natural and Organic Certifications (2025)

60% Informative
Organic mattresses, toppers, sheets and toppers are increasingly getting certified.
The following certifications are still good signs to see, but they aren't going to qualify a product as truly organic.
Each of these organizations has a database where you can look up brands and products, so to be 100 percent certain, I recommend you take that extra step just to verify.
EWG measures whether these kinds of chemicals are used in products.
It looks for over 10,500 substances that could result in bodily harm, like cancer, and potential damage to your endocrine and reproductive systemsUL also has a Formaldehyde-Free certification that gives a stamp of approval to products that don't incorporate this harmful substance into its makeup.
