Two pedestrians hit, one killed, as cars collide in Mississauga

A man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s were hit by a car that mounted the curb after crashing into another vehicle in Mississauga .
The two pedestrians were struck at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe Rd . W. and Kariya Dr. just west of Hurontario St. , near Square One Mall .
A second pedestrian, a 20-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital in “critical” condition.
Police say the two pedestrians “were standing together” when they were hit, but they were not yet able to say if the man and woman knew each other.
