Actress Denise Welch was due to present best newcomer at the British Soap Awards .

But it was revealed she was in fact about to receive a special soap award.

Welch was honoured with the CHEE award in recognition of her appearances in all four shows.

She joked that she didn't mind which show won best soap because "I've been in all of them" Viewers declared Welch the " Queen of England " after receiving award.
