Tesla CEO Elon Musk has a long history of making outlandish promises and unfulfilled predictions about his businesses.

In 2006 , Musk promised that Tesla would become the world’s leading robotics company, ushering in the “closest thing to heaven we can get on Earth ” Musk has since doubled down on this, stating that demand for his robots will be insatiable.
