President Donald Trump is hosting the Kennedy Center’s leadership at the White House on Monday night .
The meeting comes after Trump fired its previous members and announced in February that he’d serve as the board’s chair.
The new board, which unanimously approved Trump as its chair, is stocked with loyalists.
Trump has called the past programing “woke” and “terrible” while more broadly seeking to slash federal funding for the arts.
“Come here and watch it, and you’ll see, over a period of time, it’ll improve very greatly physically,” Trump said during his Kennedy Center visit in March . “And we’re going to get some very good shows.” Associated Press writer Hillel Italie contributed from New York .
