Carlton Football Club legend Robert Walls has died using voluntary assisted dying laws.

The 74-year-old was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer, in 2023 .

He won three premierships with Carlton FC as a player and one as coach, and later became a media figure and pundit.

His family said he died surrounded by his children, in his apartment which overlook the home of AFL in Victoria .
