The current $4.15 billion estimate is still locked into the government capital, an estimate of $5 billion .
No suggestion the $4.15 billion figure is still the operative price tag. It sounds like Farnworth is softening us up for what the NDP did with the replacement for the Pattullo bridge. Before the election, it was supposedly locked in $1.377 billion , a figure that had stood for six years . After the votes were counted the New Democrats suddenly boosted the cost by almost 20 per cent to $1.637 billion . Surprise!.
