Mounties have arrested a man after an excavator was used to smash several police cruisers at an RCMP detachment in Bonnyville .
A stolen trackhoe went into the parking lot of the detachment and dumped boulders in front of the prisoner bay.
The suspect fled on foot but officers were able to use the services of a police dog to track him down a short time later.
