MLB umpire Hunter Wendelstedt was hit in the left ear by a line drive during a Mets-Twins game last week .
The veteran umpire estimates he's had four concussions over his 28 years of big-league umpiring.
He is still resting at his New Orleans -area home a week after the injury.
The 53-year-old estimates he’s had a concussion in his 28-year career.
Wendelstedt is full of praise for the Minneapolis medical folks who took care of him immediately on the field and later at the hospital.
“They say everything will heal, but when I look in the mirror and the left ear looks completely different than the right ear, it freaks me out,” he says.
The medical people that have seen it say there is nothing to worry about right now.
