Samaritan Club celebrates 115 years of serving Calgarians in need

The first Young Women’s Benevolent Society fundraiser in 1912 netted $ 1,110 .
Last year , the organization raised $ 194,000 through bridge luncheons, casinos, golf tournaments and thrift sales.

In 1910 , Leonora Woods hosted card and game luncheons with silent auctions to raise funds.
