Calgary Fire Chief Steve Dongworth presented his annual report to a city council committee last Wednesday .

Dongworth said the Calgary Fire Department will be challenged by the threat of U.S. tariffs, as well as supply chain issues.

A fire truck now costs 50 per cent more than it did pre-pandemic, according to Dongworth .

The Alberta Fire Chiefs Association has also sounded the alarm about tariffs.
