Federal Election 2025: Edmonton Northwest, a new riding with old roots

Edmonton ’s northwest riding returns in the upcoming election for the first time since it was last contested in 1993 and subsequent abolishment in 1996 .
As of the last census, the riding is home to nearly 113,000 Edmontonians , representing almost 10.4 per cent of the city's population.
Northwest has attracted candidates from the Conservative Party ( CPC ), Liberal Party , New Democratic Party ( NDP ), Green Party , and People's Party of Canada ( PPC ).
