Nearly a quarter-billion dollars has been spent on Scotia Place so far, an official with the project said Thursday .
To date, $232 million , or 28 per cent of costs, have been committed toward the approximately $900-million capital project.
Most of the construction work so far has been below-ground; crews hope to be back at ground level by late fall of this year .
“We had a very tight timeline of being able to get negotiations done, because time was money and relationships were everything,” she said. “Here we are, three years later , where we can say that the committee did what it needed to do and the project has been left in great hands.”.
