Metro Vancouver promises to save households $22 in rates in 2026

The board of directors of Metro Vancouver has promised households will pay on average $ 22 less in rates than was previously forecast for 2026 .
On Wednesday , the board approved a Services and Cost Efficiencies Review and will now ask administrators to cut $364 million in costs over the next four years .
This comes after average rates rose 10 per cent between 2024 and 2025 .
These rates are expected to cover the costs of the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant overrun.
