B.C. forestry communities face a bleak 2025 as Trump ups tariffs

B.C. Premier David Eby says U.S. should not make too much of the appearance that the country “dodged a bullet” in the latest round of tariff fire.
Eby met with Prime Minister Mark Carney in Victoria Monday to talk about responses to the softwood threat.
The Canadian softwood industry was already facing great damage because of earlier actions by the U.K. Eby: "The president has committed to targeting our softwood lumber industry even more".
