They are 60% more likely than women to die prematurely before the age of 75 .
Men are less health-literate and lack confidence and skills to engage with health services.
Machismo is also a factor, says policy adviser Mark Brooks .
Black men in England are twice as likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Men from Indian or Bangladeshi backgrounds are at particularly high risk of diabetes.
