It provides a detailed look at three-year class size averages and key trends in student-to-teacher ratios across divisions.
The report comes as the district faces rapid enrolment growth and prepares to open new schools.
High school class sizes decrease, junior high sees larger classes.
More support needed for staff managing larger and more complex and larger class sizes.
Kusiek says the board is doing “our very best to offer as many supports as we can to the classroom,” she says.
“And of course, the board of trustees is always working to advocate, to have conversations with government around how we can increase the number of support available to public education,’ she said.
