Something crazy just happened in the camera world and could have massive implications for the Nikon Z system moving forward.
Sony announced what is called a global shutter inside of the Sony A93 , and they have beat Nikon and Canon to the punch on this.
It's a huge slap in the face to both those camera brands because with Sony first announcing this, they're the ones that have their hands on this technology.
Nikon Z92 with a global shutter is not something that I expect to come out anytime soon.
Sony has just eclipsed everybody, but I mean, with technology rapidly improving, we have to expand Nikon to do something about it.
I think at that point, when global shutters are now more common to the masses, we're going to see camera systems that far exceed what photographers even needs are.
Nikon Z camera with a global shutter could look like the future of the Nikon Z system.
I think for now, I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with AZ 8 or Z9 right now.
Sony would continue to increase and implement their global shutter into far other cameras that would get much more benefit like an A12 .
