Canada election comes as economic satisfaction is at record lows: polling - National | Globalnews.ca

82% Informative
Gallup analysis of Canadian attitudes to the economy and U.S. leadership shows decline in optimism and satisfaction in public services.
The report presents major challenges for Canada ’s next prime minister after the federal election.
It found Canadians ’ optimism about their economic condition has plummeted since 2022 .
The decline has largely coincided with the steady climb of housing prices in Canada , the report says.
Vigers said the report’s findings suggest Canada ’s next prime minister will face challenges addressing the long-term rise in economic pessimism among Canadians . “In the next few years ahead , I think it will be very interesting to see how these trends change, whether some of them buck the trend or whether they continue to slide,” he said. The data, he added, “paints quite a stark picture of the size of the problem.”.
