Ex-CIA director talks Signal chat breach, sets record straight on Trump’s ‘appalling’ Greenland plan

Former CIA director on MSNBC , senior national security and intelligence analyst John Brennan joins us now.

NBC News is reporting that intelligence shared in that chat came from Israel .

Brennan: There is rightful indignation about what's going on here, including by our foreign partners whose intelligence may have been compromised.

It's the cover up that's far worse than the initial issue, says Julian Zelizer .

Zelizer: The White House should focus on foreign policy and national security.

He says it's clear that Donald Trump really wants to have this dictatorial sort of, you know, power. It's only he's going to get pushed back. Thankfully, thankfully, some of these law firms are pushing back on this issue.

Brennan: "I'm hoping that there's going to be more obstacles that will be put in his path and the more mistakes that he makes" Brennan: The real answer lies in Elise Stefanik . What we see playing out with her, that's that's the end game that they don't want to have to play voters in districts that they should be winning, they're now losing.

Brennan: Maybe this is going to convince some of the Republicans in Congress to really find the principles that they have, quite frankly, buried.
