Two rare Tom Thomson paintings will be on display in Calgary for a three-day preview of a major auction of Canadian art.

They will be among the high-profile works on display from March 27 to 30 at the Heffel Fine Art Auction House in Calgary .

The preview is the first of a four -city tour to preview the pieces before a live auction in Toronto on May 22 .

In 2022 , Heffel opened a permanent space in Mayland Heights . In general, the preview will represent a rare opportunity for lovers of Canadian art. “What we’re offering in Calgary is really a 40 -painting survey of Canadian art,” Heffel says. The preview will take place from March 27 to 30 at Heffel Fine Art Auction House, 220 Manning Rd ..
