Hoop City returns to its West Edmonton Mall roots from July 31-Aug. 3 , with all the admission-free action slated for the Ice Palace .

The festival is laid out as a 33 festival anchored by two showcase events; a 12 -team Women’s Series tournament featuring home-grown stars Michelle and Katherine Plouffe and their Team Canada teammates, as well as a 14 -team World Tour event.

The Plouffes are fresh off a fourth -place finish at the Olympics last summer in Paris , where they were teamed up with Kacie Bosch of Lethbridge , Alta ., and Paige Crozon of Humboldt , Sask . Prior to the Games, that squad won the 2024 Women’s Series event in Edmonton , which was held in Ice District .
