'This behavior is inexcusable’: Ex-FBI official blasts security breach of military plans

The White House and Secretary Heck Seth are now claiming there were no war plans that were texted, even though the NSC says the text chain is authentic.

This behavior is inexcusable. It was the wrong thing to do. It's not a big war plan doesn't matter. Military operational plans are classified to protect the service members who are directly involved in those.

David French , a former military lawyer, Iraq war veteran and New York Times columnist, says this is a key moment for the administration.

He says the only responsible person in that signal chat was Jeffrey Goldberg , who wasn't supposed to be here, be there, and that was the guy who was there.

French : There should and there must be accountability.

So whether it's on an operation or an upcoming negotiation, they will be Privy to information if it's shared so loosely, as will some of our other allies that also seek to gather information before going into negotiations with us.
