Authors Tommy Orange and Kaveh Akbar have been friends since 2019 .
Their latest novels, Wandering Stars and Martyr! were long-listed for the Booker Prize .

The two authors will see their respective favorite teams face off: the Milwaukee Bucks (Akbar) versus the Golden State Warriors (Orange ).
Orange and Akbar write about language and the love of language that drives them to writing.
Orange says the repression of art and culture has happened in the U.S. before, to the Native American peoples.
