Education Minister Anders Adlercreutz ( SPP ) is looking into possibly postponing school summer vacations.
A recent survey by the Finnish Hospitality Association and the Service Sector Union PAM found 57 percent of people support the idea of school vacations starting around Midsummer in mid-June and ending at the end of August .
A teachers' trade union survey found nearly 80 percent of educators against starting holidays later.
