Filip Grkovski is facing eight charges including two counts of criminal negligence causing death.
Zaynab Altakawee was one of four survivors trapped inside the cabin of a motorized boat that crashed near Outer Harbour Marina on May 31, 2022 .
Megan Wu , 24 , of Newmarket , and Julio Abrantes , 34 , of Richmond Hill , who were also passengers on board the boat, were killed.
Court heard Grkovski ’s blood was drawn in hospital at 4:33 am on June 1, 2022 .
The toxicology report also found an inactive metabolite in his blood that indicated he had used cocaine a day or two before the accident.
The trial continues.
