65% Informative
Corey Perry scored 50 goals 14 years ago , on a night he got a hat trick against San Jose Sharks in the third -last game of the Anaheim Ducks ’ season .
“If it was so easy everybody would be doing it,” said Perry , as he digests teammate Leon Draisaitl’s race for a fourth 50-goal season, now at 49 with 14 Oilers games left.
Only 11 players have more than four 50 goals in their career.
Leon Draisaitl scored the 50th in a 7 -1 win over Utah .
The other 50-goal nights came against Anaheim twice, once at home, once away.
The Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch did have 29 out for a full two-minute power play in the third period .
But it didn’t come for the winger, who got tangled up with Olli Maatta earlier in the game.
