ESO celebrating music of first Composer in Residence

Estacio came to Edmonton in 1992 to become the ESO’s first composer in residence.
Now, the same orchestra will celebrate his music at the Winspear Centre on March 21 .
Conductor in Residence Cosette Justo Valdés will leave her role at the end of this year .
Celebration: The Music of John Estacio will be held March 21 at 8 p.m. at the Francis Winspear Centre for Music , 4 Sir Winston Churchill Square .
Valdés: “I found a lot of myself in these kids. In Cuba , I also had a difficult life, and I was saved by music”.
