Pakistan moves closer to Bangladesh as India watches warily

Pakistan -Bangladesh relations are thawing after decades of troubled relations.
Direct flights and military contacts have been revived, visa procedures simplified and reports of co-operation on security.
The two countries - separated by the landmass of India - have deep, painful historical ties.
The animosity between them goes back to 1971 , when Bangladesh launched a struggle to gain independence.
Bangladesh has demanded a formal apology from Pakistan for the atrocities committed during the independence war.
Islamabad has shown no inclination to do so.
Bilateral trade currently stands at less than $700 m ( 540 m), mostly in favour of Pakistan .
Some of these issues may be discussed during Pakistani foreign minister Ishaq Dar's visit to Dhaka in April .
