'Exercising their spending power': Albertans willing to pay more for local, survey says

70% Informative
A recent Interac survey found that Albertans believe it’s important to shop local.
Over 40 per cent of respondents were willing to spend $ 5 more to buy products locally.
Nearly eight in 10 Canadians believe that supporting local businesses is more important now than it was last year .
At 43 per cent , Albertans actually fell below the national average ( 53 per cent ) for spending an extra $ 5 .
