YouTube channel Hardware Busters claims it purchased what looked like an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU from Amazon for processor testing purposes.

Upon opening the box, it wasn't the correct socket and heatspreader design for an AM5 chip, and the supposedly silkscreened logo on top appeared to be a sticker.

Underneath the sticker, the AMD FX 4100 is a 14-year-old Bulldozer chip that can be found on the used market for around $10 .
