Appeals court allows removal of watchdog agency head fired by Trump as legal battle continues

65% Informative
Hampton Dellinger is removed as head of the Office of Special Counsel .
He sued Trump last month after he was fired even though the law says special counsels can be removed by the president “only for inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office” The ruling comes as Dellinger also challenges the removal of probationary workers who were fired as part of the Trump administration’s shakeup.
