Enbridge announced plans to expand its main pipeline network to transport more Canadian oil into the U.S. Energy giant Enbridge plans to invest up to $2 billion of capital investment over the next three years .
More than four million barrels per day of Canadian oil flows into the United States , representing this country’s single-biggest export item.
Investors on both sides of the border reacted swiftly to the tariff war.
The S&P / TSX composite index fell 429.57 points, or 1.7 per cent , in Canada .
